Ofsted’s chief inspector has made a fresh call for the Department for Education (DfE) to crack down on unregistered or illegal schools.
Amanda Spielman’s intervention comes three years after an external advisory board formed by the DfE to review the role of councils in relation to children told it to look at the issue.
