Sturgeon: Council Brexit role essential

The role of councils in preparing for the ‘extremely serious consequences for communities across Scotland’ of Brexit will be essential, First Minister Nicola Sturgeon has said.

Local authorities, including Glasgow City Council, have recently raised concerns about potential shortages of essentials like food and fuel because of Brexit.
