For those who like understatement, it’s been quite a month. For those who like hyperbole, it’s been a time of unparalleled controversy, tumult and uncertainty. And a pot pourri of domestic social, economic and political upheaval clearly isn’t enough; the international context has been equally volatile with terrorist attacks, a failed coup and the news that Mick Jagger is to be a father again at 72 to contend with.
