Tax redistribution mooted

Scottish Government plans to raise and redistribute £100m of council tax to fund schools are facing council opposition.

A leaked paper from the Convention of Scottish Local Authorities (COSLA) has indicated local resistance to government plans for a 3% council tax rise for bands E to H to fund education improvements.
