The fall of the tri-borough

The local government story of last year was undoubtedly the horrific Grenfell Tower fire and the fallout from the blaze. Kensington & Chelsea RLBC was widely criticised for its response to the incident, which is sure to reverberate through the sector for many years to come.

But the Grenfell fire happened a few months after a development that would have been much higher up the agenda in a more ordinary year - the collapse of the flagship tri-borough.
