Thick document; thin vision

Having waited forever for the Levelling Up White Paper that came out in February, the Levelling Up and Regeneration Bill was published hard on the heels of the Queen’s Speech.

At 338 pages (plus notes) it’s certainly a hefty document; even longer than the White Paper (though shorter, as one of my colleagues noted, than Eric Pickles’s 400 page Localism Bill back in 2011)
