'Tough enforcement action' brings in £1.2m

South Oxfordshire and Vale of White Horse DCs recovered more than £1.2m in council tax arrears after 'tough enforcement action,' latest figures have revealed.

Magistrates granted the councils liability orders against almost 4,000 residents who had repeatedly failed or refused to pay their council tax in 2017/18.

Bailiffs subsequently recovered more than £900,000.
