UC becoming a ‘scandalous waste’ claims SOLACE chief

The implementation of Universal Credit (UC) is ‘nothing short of a scandal,’ the president of the Society of Local Authority Chief Executives has argued.

Writing for The MJ this week, Doncaster MBC chief executive, Jo Miller, said that there had been an average 45% rise in rent arrears since September 2015, when UC started to apply to single claimants without children.
