The largest trade union representing members of the Scottish Local Government Pension Scheme (SLGPS) has called for the 11 funds to be merged.
Unison Scotland’s intervention comes as the SLGPS advisory board consults on whether outcomes for the scheme can be improved by altering the structure of the funds, which have assets of around £42bn.
