Use of temporary accommodation rockets

The number of households in temporary accommodation has rocketed by 71% over the last eight years, according to the latest Government statistics.

Figures from the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government showed the number of households in temporary accommodation rose from a low of 48,000 at the end of 2010 to 82,310 at the end of June this year.
