Warning over future for care home providers

Councils today called for ‘urgent and genuinely new’ funding for social care amid fresh warnings that more providers could go out of business.

Responding to analysis of the care home funding shortfall published by consultants LaingBuisson, the Local Government Association (LGA) warned that historic under-funding across the care sector was having an ‘acute’ impact on providers.
