Securing long-term, sustainable social care funding in the Government’s Green Paper is the only way to avert a crisis, directors have warned.
Nine out of 10 councils said increases in the social care precepts allowed them only to keep pace with demographic pressures, the annual budget survey carried out by the Association for the Directors of Adult Social Services (ADASS) found.
