We need more joined-up working between local and central Government

As most of you will know, putting together a local plan is a mammoth exercise. It is a highly technical and specialised undertaking and needs to go through multiple layers of consultation to get it right.

Last month, many authorities – Great Yarmouth BC included – saw their best laid plans thrown up in the air, as Natural England declared that ‘nutrient neutrality’ regulations now applied to part of our area.
