West Sussex CC has revealed it is investigating nine care homes owned by a private operator after 12 people died.
The safeguarding investigation into Sussex Health Care, which has operated for more than 30 years, is being carried out in co-operation with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and Sussex Police.
