What are local government's prospects now?

There is now a good chance of eight years of Conservative Government. Barring economic disaster or other ‘events dear boy’, a majority of 80 takes some swing to overcome, and Labour looks to continue talking to itself, rather than the electorate, for some time.

What are the prospects for local government? I counted 32 references to local in the 64-page manifesto. Not many of them were about local government.
