Whitehall review of kids’ services paused

A Whitehall review looking at the role of local authorities in relation to children has been shelved, The MJ understands.

The review had been tasked with detailing an ‘overarching narrative and vision describing the future role’ of councils in relation to children, including social care, schools and early years provision.
