Whitehall urged to referee sector’s NHS disputes over rates relief

Shadow minister Jim McMahon has called for the Government to intervene in the dispute between councils and NHS trusts over business rates relief.

Some 80 NHS trusts, working with specialist firm Bilfinger GVA, are seeking to be awarded mandatory charitable relief.
