Whitehall's failure to consult sector has led to 'poor policy'

The Government’s failure to co-produce its strategies with local government has led to ‘poor policy’, the country’s leading chief executive has said.

Addressing a packed Society of Local Authority Chief Executives (SOLACE) Summit, president Jo Miller urged colleagues in Whitehall to follow local government’s lead when it comes to collaboration.
