Why it’s time to repair the policy pipework

Many of us in public services leadership roles spend time, energy and taxpayers’ cash joining up different strands of, usually, central government policy, trying to make sense of it and creating value at a local level.

We are the policy plumbers and although the policy hot water system has been designed by engineers, someone still has to install and operate the system to warm the whole house through.
