Whitehall and Westminster must collaborate with local government if poor policy decisions are to be avoided, the president of the Society of Local Authority Chief Executives and Senior Managers (SOLACE) has said.
Speaking at the annual SOLACE summit in Manchester yesterday, Jo Miller said that central government needs to involve councils in decision-making.
