Wrexham: Reorganisation not a panacea for austerity

One of the biggest local authorities in north Wales has vowed to ‘strongly oppose’ attempts to reorganise local government.

In a response to the Welsh Government’s green paper consultation, which suggests merging councils to create ‘larger, stronger’ authorities, a report by Wrexham CBC officers has recommended that councillors reject the plan.
