All is not lost for Whitehall relocation

There’s something almost comforting in the way certain government schemes and initiatives get their regular recycle through every spin of the political wheel.

But in large part because of the significant up-front investment costs, this Government has eschewed one tried and trusted policy, that of redistributing civil servants from central London to farther flung parts of the country.

However, in what may come as an unsurprising twist, Whitehall relocation could back on the agenda.
