Birmingham chief issues STP warning

Sustainability and transformation plans (STP) could provide the biggest source of savings for the sector, but failure could leave council and NHS budgets in tatters, Birmingham City Council’s chief executive has warned.

The NHS asked commissioning groups, trusts, providers and councils to form local partnerships in a bid to drive health and social care integration and sustainability as part of its five-year forward view.
