Achieving for Children chief executive Nick Whitfield has been assigned to turn around Reading Council’s failing children’s services.
Mr Whitfield, who heads the company formed to deliver children’s services in Kingston and Richmond, will initially work with the authority for the next three months after Ofsted deemed them ‘inadequate’.
