Senior managers at Eastbourne BC must address the council’s low levels of reserves given current cost pressures within the sector, a Local Government Association-led review has warned.
In an otherwise positive assessment of joint senior management arrangements at Eastbourne and Lewes DC, a corporate peer challenge (CPC) highlighted Eastbourne’s low reserves as a concern while councils continue to face rising costs, high inflation and fresh demand on key services.
