Devolution deals spark rift in Labour hierarchy

Suspicion over the Treasury’s motivation for devolution is rising as the Government steps up its push to get deals sealed.

Sources have revealed to The MJ that chancellor George Osborne is hoping to announce the latest deal at the end of this week, but 11th hour negotiations are continuing and it is far from certain an agreement will be struck in time.
