Devolution split emerges in North Midlands

A split has emerged in Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire over how quickly powers should be devolved to the region, The MJ has learned.

Last week Derbyshire CC said only a ‘nod’ from chancellor George Osborne was needed to secure fresh powers from government.
