The sector scored a victory in yesterday’s Spending Review after several Whitehall threats were dodged after lobbying, Local Government Association (LGA) boss Mark Lloyd has revealed.
Speaking to The MJ at today’s Future Forum North, Mr Lloyd said there had been a ‘real risk’ that the details of business rates localisation were going to be pinned down by Whitehall.
