East Devon chief expected to leave

The chief executive of East Devon DC is expected to leave ‘imminently’ once a settlement agreement has been struck, The MJ understands.

It comes after calls for Mark Williams – the longest-serving district council chief executive in the country - to resign after an independent report into the council’s handling of serious allegations against former councillor John Humphreys was published.
