Fears of early intervention funding gap

Almost three in five councillors fear business rate retention will not be enough to cover cuts to early intervention children’s services, research has found.

Local authority spending on early intervention dropped by 31% since 2010/11, according to charities Action for Children, National Children's Bureau and The Children's Society.
