Councils face annual publication of senior staff pay

Senior council staff could be forced to annually publish their pay and expenses online, following a review of Freedom of Information (FOI) requests.

Scrutiny of the law from an independent commission established by Cabinet Office minister Matt Hancock in 2015 today concluded senior executive pay and expenses should be published annually in an ‘understandable’ manner.
