Many readers will know that one of the hats I wear is Society of Local Authority Chief Executives spokesperson for evidence- based policy. It is through this prism I have been considering the Government’s recent push for the expansion of grammar schools, which demonstrates two critical flaws.
The first is that the policy appears to have come from the prime minister herself, based on her own grammar school experience.
