'Half-baked' Housing Bill to become law

The controversial Housing and Planning Bill will become law after peers finally gave up their fight. 

The Government was on a tight deadline to pass the legislation before the end of the parliamentary session and, despite Lords still tabling winning amendments up until Tuesday, Conservative MPs dug their heels in to the last.
