Harlow brings services back in-house

Harlow DC has become the latest council to bring an outsourced service back in-house and re-launch it as a local authority-owned company.

The council’s cabinet met yesterday to discuss plans to transfer its housing repairs, street cleaning and grass cutting services back to the authority when the current contract with Kier ends in January 2017.
