Kerslake calls for 'major review' of sector income

Former civil service chief Bob Kerslake has called for a ‘major review’ of income sources for local government.

Lord Kerslake, who is now president of the Local Government Association, said a re-evaluation was needed so the sector could move away from relying on ‘handouts’ from Whitehall.
