Lack of consultation could bring STP process into 'disrepute'

NHS sustainability and transformation plans (STPs) could be derailed unless health bosses engage local authorities, publish proposals and consult with the public, experts have warned ahead of tomorrow’s submission deadline.

Council leaders have long called for greater engagement in the plans, but fresh concerns emerged this week that local authorities and residents will remain in the dark after plans are submitted to NHS England.
