MPs call for revamp of finance figures

MPs have written to Communities secretary Greg Clark to fight the case for county councils in the wake of the finance settlement. 

A total of 40 backbench Conservatives are believed to have signed a letter to urge the Government to rethink its proposals which will see £250-300m diverted from counties over the next four years.
