Former tri-borough chief executive, Sir Derek Myers, has been drafted in as lead commissioner to take over troubled Rotherham MBC, Eric Pickles has announced.
In a Written Ministerial Statement, the communities secretary announced the intervention team, including Sir Derek as lead Commissioner, and former Barking and Dagenham LBC chief executive Stella Manzie as ‘managing director commissioner’.
