NAO warns ‘significant’ devo questions still to be answered

Auditors have urged the Government to answer ‘significant’ accountability questions surrounding devolution deals, amid fears over the impact of cuts on the decentralisation agenda.

Ministers were this week warned the effect of devolution on national accountability for services remained ‘unclear’ and came under pressure to clarify who would be held responsible for functions under new deals.
