Next rates revaluation 'most contentious yet'

The next revaluation of business rates on which local authority income will increasingly depend will be ‘the most contentious yet,’ according to a major commercial property consultant.

Under the next revaluation, which will come into effect on 1 April 2017, all commercial properties in England and Wales will be reassessed based on 1 April 2015 rental values.
