No one size fits all for city devo

A hectic summer of negotiations on devolution deals will come to an end on 4 September, the Government’s cut-off point for city regions to submit their proposals for taking on more powers.

This deadline is the culmination of over a year’s worth of policy interventions and discussions led by chancellor George Osborne and new Department for Communities and Local Government secretary Greg Clark, which began with the announcement of the Northern Powerhouse last summer.
