‘Overly-male’ Northern Powerhouse ‘could alienate public’

Male ‘domination’ of key council roles in the Northern Powerhouse could cripple community engagement, a think-tank has warned.

Research from the Fawcett Society found 72% of the senior leadership roles in the region were occupied by men, with women holding one in five council leader and mayoral roles.
