Parishes issue vote of no confidence in Hartlepool

Four parish councils have asked to leave Hartlepool BC following ‘several years of increasing frustration’.

Dalton Piercy, Elwick, Greatham and Hart parish councils have written to Hartlepool’s leader, managing director and several government ministers asking to join neighbouring unitary Durham Council, listing a number of grievances including an ‘overwhelming town-centric view’.
