Pickles announces ex-council chief Caller as Tower Hamlets commissioner

Former council chief executive Max Caller has been announced as one of the commissioners who will be sent in to Tower Hamlets LBC.

The ex-boss of Barnet and Hackney LBCs, who is largely credited with turning around the latter in the early 2000s, will be joined by the Government’s former chief fire and rescue adviser for England, Sir Ken Knight, who will lead the commissioners, with the third yet to be announced.
