Council housing directors are likely to be expected to gain an ‘appropriate’ qualification after Michael Gove announced new plans to ‘drive up’ social housing standards.
Local government secretary Mr Gove announced that changes to the Social Housing Bill going through Parliament will require ‘social housing managers’ to gain a housing management qualification regulated by Ofqual.
