Respect MP George Galloway has defended besieged Tower Hamlets mayor Lutfur Rahman at a rally in east London attended by about 1,000 people.
Mr Galloway, who spoke along with former London mayor Ken Livingstone, claimed there was a ‘witch hunt’ against the mayor and that residents backed him.
