Report: Chiefs upbeat despite cuts

Town hall bosses remain upbeat about developing new approaches to delivering services despite public sector cutbacks, a new report has claimed.

Today’s report by the Society of Local Authority Chief Executives (SOLACE) suggests senior managers were becoming ‘much more sophisticated, knowledgeable and confident’ about changing and improving services.
