Scotland's councils face £700m further cuts

An independent report has warned local authorities north of the border face £700m in further cuts.

Ahead of the announcement of this week’s Scottish Government budget, the report by the economic think-tank, the Fraser of Allander Institute, claimed councils have already received more than £1bn in cuts over the past five years and face £700m more by the end of the current Parliament.
