You could have been forgiven for assuming the fire service was in for a radical new look.
But Gloucestershire CC’s announcement that it was to purchase ‘greener’ fire engines was instead a reference to the fact the new appliances are designed to tackle the climate emergency in addition to the sort more usually associated with firefighters.
