As the dust settles after last month’s local elections, work is well under way as we transition to a new administration to lead us through the next four years.
The election in the borough was expected to be closely contested – and it was. After a nail-biting count which saw recounts for several seats, we ended up with no overall control which came down to just one vote. However, a few days later the sitting Conservative leader was re-elected.
